How Virtual Farming Works
From participation to plantation in four clearly-defined steps. No jargon, no hidden costs — just scientifically-managed agroforestry, made accessible.
Choose & Begin
Select the number of sandalwood saplings you wish to participate in (minimum 2 = ₹1,000). Receive a digital participation certificate.
We Plant & Manage
Our trained team plants your saplings on certified land in Panna, MP. End-to-end care: soil prep, irrigation, pest management, growth tracking.
Track Growth
Receive periodic updates with photos and growth reports. Your trees absorb CO₂ as they mature — a measurable environmental contribution.
Long-Term Value
Sandalwood matures over 15-20 years. Returns are realised through timber value at maturity and carbon credits as they are verified by accredited bodies.

Where Does Your
₹500 Per Sapling Go?
We believe in showing you exactly how your participation is allocated — because trust is built on clarity, not on promises. Every rupee is accounted for, audited annually, and verified against on-ground deployment.
This breakdown reflects the typical allocation per sandalwood sapling under our Virtual Farming programme. Final figures are documented in your participation certificate and annual reports.

Carbon Economy
As your sandalwood trees grow, they absorb atmospheric CO₂ — a process called carbon sequestration. Over time, this measurable absorption can be converted into verified carbon credits through accredited international standards.
Each mature sandalwood tree sequesters an estimated 50–150 kg of CO₂ over its lifetime, depending on growth conditions and species variety.
Carbon credits are issued only by independent international standards (such as Verra VCS or Gold Standard) following rigorous audits — typically beginning several years after planting.
India's voluntary carbon market is expanding rapidly. Mature, certified plantations are positioned to participate in this growing economy alongside timber realisation.
Two Long-Term Outcomes,
One Sapling
By participating in our Virtual Farming programme, you support the planting and 15-20 year management of premium sandalwood. Your participation is positioned to benefit from two long-term outcomes:
Expertise
From Code to Cultivation.
From Pixels to Plantations.

⚖️ Important Information & Risk Disclosure
Long-term agroforestry, not a guaranteed-return scheme. Greenroots Agro's Virtual Farming programme is a participation in scientifically-managed sandalwood plantation activity. Sandalwood matures over a 15-20 year cycle. Realisation of timber value, carbon credit allocation, and any associated returns is dependent on tree maturity, on-ground conditions, market prices at time of harvest, and successful certification by accredited carbon-credit verification bodies.
No assured monthly or fixed returns. We do not promise, guarantee, or assure any specific monthly, annual, or lump-sum financial return. Any references to potential outcomes are illustrative and forward-looking. Past performance, where mentioned, does not indicate future results.
Carbon credits are issued solely by independent international standards (such as Verra VCS, Gold Standard, or equivalent) following independent verification — Greenroots Agro does not itself issue carbon credits. Allocation of any verified credits to participants is subject to successful certification, which typically begins several years after planting.
Founder credentials: Dharmendra Nahar is an AMFI Registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-337885). This registration pertains to mutual fund distribution and not to agroforestry participation. Please conduct your own due diligence and consult an independent financial advisor before participating.
